Sid Mashburn
While Loafers and I were in Georgia celebrating a wedding, we took a detour on Friday to the Sid and Ann Mashburn stores in Atlanta. I knew that the Sid Mashburn store would be beautiful- I guess I just didn’t realize how very cool it would be. Music playing on vinyl records; stunning kilim rugs; chesterfield sofas with just the right patina. And books everywhere. If my husband ever turns up missing one day, I’ll know where to find him.
The Ann Mashburn was essentially the yin to my yang. Note- buy a house with brick indoor walls. Paint them white. Reupholster my chairs in hot pink linen. Sprinkle in wooden antique sideboards and tables. Instant, classic chic.
My purchases from Ann Mashburn. I’ve always wanted to try the S. Maria Novella perfume, as the area where the company is based is two blocks away from where I lived in Florence, Italy for a semester in college. I’m loving the gardenia-heavy scent!
