Excellent: Jessika Goranson’s apartment in Lonny
The latest edition of Lonny came out on Sunday and I’ve been feasting my eyes on it since. Every home is gorgeous, but the one that caught my eye the most (both because it includes some of my style favorites and also because it seems perhaps the most achievable amidst the antique dealers and Lonny editors who are also featured) is Jessika Goranson’s apartment in NYC.
I love the mini buffet lamps and the gigantic Venetian mirror—it helps to break up the dark wood furniture and light wood floors while reflecting light from the apartment windows. Don’t get me started on the beautiful antique wood chairs.
Remember that time I wrote about Japanese folding screens and everyone thought I was a weirdo? Well, looks like I have a kindred spirit in Jessika, who used one behind her bar. Oh, and those are needlepoint Staffordshire dog pillows in case you’re wondering and need the search terms for eBay like me.

I immediately went on an 8-state Craigslist searching spree for “bamboo glass cabinet” to find something like Jessika’s piece to fill with blue and white ginger jars and books because that idea is GENIUS. Also, that couch + persian rug combo? It hurts to look at it because it is THAT good.
In short, Jessika- way to werk.

I love slipping into loungewear (or, as I call them, my comfy cozies) after a long day in high heels and pencil skirts at work. Lately, I’ve noticed that my JCREW flannel pajamas are starting to fray with all of the use they are getting during these unseasonably chilly winter months in NC. I am in the market for some new lounge wear and these look like the perfect blend of comfy, cozy and cute.
